My number one mistake is trying to do Art with no talent or creativity!
Love how much fun you are having 🎉
I just love this!! I love the way you teach. Thank you so much!!❤❤❤
I have so enjoyed painting along with you I am painting a pet potrait of a golden lab and was struggling till I tuned into your video thank you x
can you make a video on how to paint tulips and the big lowers you have at the beginning of your videos thanks
Hi!!!😊😊😊
Hi! Hope to see you soonest weather is better!
Hi netti
Hi from ireland
Oh my gosh!!!!! These buttercups are more than beautiful!!! I wish you had shown the process of outlining the other flowers and changing the background which is equally beautiful. But I do appreciate your sharing what you have. Thank you so much! I am just stating in oils. I’ve been learning acrylic over two years. Thank you❤❤❤❤
So good, Nettie! Sorry I missed your live!
Its interesting you made this semi wet rather than doing an entire water wash first, but you are adding thinner. Very cool technique...would you do sun rays the same way? Im working with a wetter background and and removing water to make clouds
I just love how you explain what you’re doing. I just found you today. This is the third video I’ve watched. I can’t thank you enough for sharing your talent with us ❤❤
I love your paintings - and for me it’s ok it is a small, but I prefer when you paint on a table or an easel because it your little exercise demonstrating grapes moves too much Jo and down and out of focus when you keep it in one hand. And I prefer when you make a whole painting with background and whatever you choose to paint. I love flowers, animals, potraits , all the best to you all 🌷😊
agreed! I watched it later and just about gave myself vertigo!
I have only watched two of your videos so far but they are great! I can’t believe there isn’t more people who watch your content!
So great 👍🏻 thanks
❤ good job
I saw you at the coffee shop shop
You showed it so nicely - but it always needs a bit of practice - but it can be a Nice Way to choose specific qualities and a way to save some money - 😀🎶♥️🎵
I love your approach to painting - beautifull and also relaxed and fun and now and then with some very practicle tips. I immediately noted Murphy’s. Oil soap - a much needed possible rescuer for dried acrylic brushes - for I also love to paint in oils and sometimes in a rylics 🎶🧡🎵😺⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yes, the Murphy's Oil soap has saved me hundreds of dollars!
❤❤❤so much fun to paint with children 🎶♥️🎵
Great video - I love the transparent luminous effect of golden oil paints gently folded with different primarily transparent pigments and great practical tips and tricks as always - dont use White too early since it dulls the pigment and dont overmix and very important use a palet knive to put it on and eventually use a little bit of neo Megillah as a medium making it more translucent - happy painting 🎶❤️🎵
Thanks for watching! Yes, the white usually takes out the luminosity of almost every color; especially the translucent colors. Join me live on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. US pacific time. (not sure what time it would be in your part of the world!
In Denmark I have found that Rembrandt has Metallic GoldOil painting in different shades, light and deep etc - they are very Nice for paintings focussing on Golden lights 🧡❤️🩷🧡
And I love the Way you Work with Colors and lights and brushstrokes …. And here the joy of the purple background - to me I feel purple has a strong vibration of sensualitet, of male-female-day-night - 🎵💜💙🩷💜🎶
Loved this beautifull still life - just a joy to Watch the light-sodavand and shadows and wonderfull Colors in this magic studs 🙏💜🩵🤍
This video attracted me because of the wonderfull real color - and it just was beautifull to Watch the process 🩵🧡🤍🩵❤️🩶🖤
Thank you Lis! I think you are now my number #1 fan! So appreciated!
I am a Great admiror of dr greger - and this was a fine fast interview highlighting a lot of important thongs. Keep up the motivation 🙏❤️
I plan to do a color glaze tomorrow live! Stay tuned!
Great to use photos that are important to you - and use them for paintings because painting is a way of intensifying something that is meaningfull ❤
I really love your paintings and your mostly very playful and sensual process - all of your portraits, baby faces or old people, flowers, animals, pets or wild in nature , figures, still life whatever you choose. And I also love to use oil painting. But it is possible to use acrylics and keep them open with modern medium if you should prefer that. And if you get oil painting on your skin just use normal sunflower seed oil to rinse your skin and paper towel and maybe washing with a bit of normal soap. Take care ❤❤❤
You are so sweet - and I love the way you play with your colors - and for me it’s ok that you paint when you are ready - just keep painting and your painting will lift all that enjoys the joy that radiate from whatever you paint. ❤❤❤
And your paintings are truly uplifting - thank you for all your very inspiring sharing - and I just love your loose, impressionistic style and that you ask people whether they prefer that or rather more photorealistic 😊❤❤❤
I really love the vibrations joy that radiates from your Colors and your beautifull, very alive brush strokes - and watching your process is just so fine. It’s very informative and direct telling your reflections on your choices. Great job. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤❤❤

Wow, what a great place!
👍👍👍
Can’t wait to watch this. Thank you.
I love portrait painting 👍
That’s beautiful.
thank you so much! Have you been able to watch my new live UA-cam videos on Thursday nights yet? Trying to broadcast every week at 6 p.m. Pacific time, U.S. Still getting my wheels on!
@@NettieKStudio I didn’t know about them. Thank you.
@@NettieKStudio Also glad to see these aren’t speed paintings. I’m flabbergasted by artists who post videos shown at high speed and also can’t stand “time lapse”. What’s the point of all that ? Can’t see what’s happening. Ugh. 😂
I love cat paintings.

Thanks for posting this lesson. So informative
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Nettie Kaye, I watch all of your videos and they have really encouraged me in my oil pet portraits. I bought a bottle of Neo Meglip at your suggestion, to use as a medium and I like it. My question: I usually use Liquin to seal my oil paintings like a varnish, but can I use the Neo Meglip the same way (to coat the painting after it’s dry)? Thank you in advance for your expertise. Carolyn
Hi Carolyn, I use the Neo Megilp in areas that have "sunk in" sparingly. The best idea is to us Retouch varnish. Retouch Varnish is made for the time right after your painting is dry to the touch. It gives it a nice sheen and protects the painting until the final Varnish goes on...usually 4 to 6 months after finishing! The joy of oils. Argh. Thank you so much for watching all my videos! Hope you will join me again on Thursday evening for our next Nettie Kaye Live lesson at 7 p.m. Central. 6 p.m. Pacific. I so appreciate you! Nettie Kaye
This was better, Nettie, but still a little blurry. What about manually focusing on your canvas before you start painting? Love the owl!
